Get lost in the stars in our SBOCES Astronomy Camp! Students will be learning all about astronomy and what makes it so beautiful! There will be hands on learning with telescopes and great opportunities to look at the sky to see what it's all about!  Students will be staying at the dorms Monday through Thursday and picked up at 10:00 am Friday!

Grades:  4th grade (completed) -8th grade

MUST HAVE COMPLETED 4TH GRADE AND POSSESS MATURITY LEVEL  TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS, SLEEP OVERNIGHT IN DORMS, AND BE RESPONSIBLE.

NATURE WEEK Explore the beautiful outdoors during Nature camp!   Create sun catchers, rock art, chimes, and roast some s’mores!  We’ll make Bug Hotels, build bird feeders, and make (and EAT!) delicious snacks. Have fun going on a scavenger hunt, pitching a tent, and competing in sleeping bag races! HEROES OF MYTHOLOGY Humans have been telling stories since the dawn of time. Tales of heroic feats, terrifying monsters, and magical origins.  Join us as we explore these stories, navigating the Minotaur's Maze, helping Odysseus tame the bag of winds, facing the wrath of Medusa, and much more!  Students will learn about ancient myths through projects and activities, bringing the stories to life in new ways, adding their own myth to the mix and becoming heroes of legend.
