      Early Childhood Exploration Camp: Be A Kid This Summer session 1 ¡Se habla Español! June 9th -August 6th (TUESDAY -THURSDAY) Be a Kid This Summer: Creative Play & Exploration Camp is a hands-on, play-based camp designed to prepare young children for preschool, kindergarten, and first grade in a fun and nurturing environment. Children will rotate through engaging stations that include simple science experiments, creative arts and crafts, sensory play, building activities, and imaginative play. Daily experiences also include music and movement, games, story time, and themed activities such as “Christmas in Summer,” “Summerween,” and more. This camp focuses on early learning through play, helping children build confidence, social skills, independence, and fine and gross motor development. Inspired by child-centered learning approaches. Activities encourage creativity, exploration, and collaboration. Each day includes a balance of structured activities and guided free play, along with quiet time for reading or small group work. Can register for session 1 and 2.     DIGITAL SKILLS FOR EVERYDAY LIFE ¡Se habla Español! Digital Literacy for Everyday Life is a supportive, hands-on class designed to help adults build confidence and practical skills with technology. This course is open to all skill levels, from complete beginners to those looking to expand their digital knowledge. Instruction will be flexible and personalized, combining small group lessons with one-on-one support to meet each learner’s individual needs. Participants will learn essential skills such as using a computer mouse and keyboard, adjusting phone settings, sending emails, accessing and organizing photos, and navigating the internet. More advanced learners will have opportunities to explore topics such as online job applications, digital communication, content creation (including YouTube), and the effective use of modern tools such as AI. This class emphasizes real-life application, helping participants gain independence and confidence in using technology for everyday tasks such as communication, employment, and personal interests. Whether a participant is just getting started or looking to grow their skills, this class provides a welcoming and supportive environment for all learners. Be ready to play ping pong, pool, kickball, dodgeball, soccer, and more!  Of course we will have the slip -n- slide to cool off with! We will also spend time playing with the three Barbie Dreamhouses. We will eat lunch at 11 am. Must be potty-trained. BRING A SNACK, LUNCH, AND WATER BOTTLE. Come be part of the SBOCES Family Choir—a one-of-a-kind musical experience where generations sing side by side.     Girl Scouts-CSI Adventure Get ready to crack the case at this exciting 4-day CSI-themed camp, led by an inspiring team of high school Girl Scouts! Campers will step into the role of junior investigators, working together to solve mysteries, uncover clues, and piece together evidence in a fun and supportive, girl-led environment. With teamwork, creativity, and leadership at the heart of the experience, girls will build confidence while diving into a world of intrigue and discovery. Each day will feature a mix of hands-on STEM challenges, creative crafts, and engaging outdoor activities designed to bring the CSI theme to life. From analyzing “evidence” and conducting simple experiments to creating detective gear and exploring the outdoors for clues, every activity is designed to spark curiosity and problem-solving skills. It’s the perfect blend of learning, adventure, and fun—where every camper becomes part of the investigation! Instructor:  Melissa Webb K-5th grade

    ARTS AND CRAFTS Painting, sculpting, drawing, and cutting and pasting artworks for artists!  Join us in creating fun and beautiful art as an outlet for your imagination!   Explore your creativity and spark your imagination in this summer camp!   Students will work in different mediums, such as clay and paint, to create spectacular art pieces.   • OUTDOOR GAMES

      OUTDOOR GAMES Students will make, play, and learn some new outdoor summer games. They will make big feet out of cardboard to have a Monster walk. We will make games out of pool noodles, and plastic cups, sponges, etc. Sometimes these games will consist of water and getting wet, so if you want to have a fun summer with a little water come and join us! Relay races, water games, team games are all fun when you play outside and enjoy the sun. We will make a fun snack that goes along with the theme. Please bring a water bottle and sunscreen.   Instructor:  Nanette McCurdy 3rd-6th grade

    Lens-ational Photography - Nature Exploration In this class we will review composition and how to capture a compelling photograph. We will be taking a field trip to Ashley National Forest! We will focus more on the images versus what we are shooting the images with. With that being said, phone cameras, inexpensive cameras, digital cameras, iPads, etc. are all acceptable to take your photographs!
