Zoo Animal Adventures – (grades 2-4)

The first day of class we will be discussing and learning about the animals that roam the earth. We will do this through learning activities, games, and crafts. We will provide snacks, lunch and craft supplies! The second day of class we will be taking a field trip to the Hogle Zoo in SLC, UT. The children who are participating in the field trip are asked to bring their own lunch - SW BOCES will provide transportation, zoo admittance, and snacks for the bus! Backyard Birding (grades 1-3)

Did you know that nearly 200 bird species make their home in Wyoming year round?! Join Backyard Birding as we discover birds that can be found in our own backyards! We will learn the basics of identifying and attracting different types of birds found around our great state - songbirds, jays owls, and more. We will make crafts, play games, and venture outside to see what birds we can find around the college campus! Adventure Birding – Completed 4th – 6th Grade

Join us as we discover the wonderful world of Birds!  We will learn the basics of identifying different types of birds found in our region.  Join us for a fun week of bird adventure, ending Thursday with an amazing out-of-town field trip to the Tracy Aviary in Salt Lake City, Utah.  We will meet Monday - Wednesday from 12:30 -- 3:00 then Thursday we will meet at WWCC at 7:30 am.  Please bring your own water bottle, sack lunch and a sense of adventure for the field trip!  SSD#1 Transportation Department will provide bussing. Under the Sea Adventures – Session 1 (grades 2-4)

Get excited to see all of the adventures that happen under the sea! We will be learning all things to do with the life that goes unseen though activities, games and crafts! We will provide snacks, lunch, and craft supplies. On Tuesday we will be taking a field trip to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy, UT. The children who participate in the field trip are asked to bring their own lunch for the trip and SW BOCES will provide transportation, aquarium admittance with movie, and snacks on the bus! Astronomy Camp – Session 1 (Grades Finished 4th-8th)

WWCC 2500 College Drive, Rock Springs, WY, United States

Students will learn their way around the night sky as they are involved in daytime class sessions and hands-on experience with telescopes. They will view the night sky and learn the names of summer constellations and planets. The students will also travel to the Clark Planetarium in SLC, UT to observe the programs and exhibits offered at the planetarium. Families are invited to observe with the astronomers! Please meet at the lower parking lot below the dorms! Instructor: Denise Dewey *Students must ride the bus to and from the field trips.* *Students will be staying at the dorms at WWCC - all meals will be provided! Summer Band 2024 (grades 6-12)

Meeting Monday - Thursday Beginning Band:: Finishing 6th grade meets from 9:00 am to 10:15 am Advanced Band:  Jr. High - High school students: 10:30 am -12:00 noon We will end the summer band program by having a concert at Bunning Park on July 11th at 7pm Instructor:  Josh Knudson

Baking 101 (grades 5-7)

This class will focus on the basic of baking and the creation of savory and sweet treats! We will explore difference baking styles and create delicious treats throughout the week. Please bring an apron or wear clothes you don't mind getting messy! Instructor:  Natalie Anderson

Summer Stem Camp (Ages 6-9)

In Summer Stem Camp there will be many activities!  They will range from projects like building ferris wheels, being out in the warm summer sun, bottle flipping, hammock making, building houses strong enough to take on the "Big Bad Wolf" and so much more.
