Everything Chocolate! (Ages 10-14)

Join us for an adventure in chocolate! We will make cookies, brownies, ice cream, ice cream sandwiches, and chocolate bars! Teachers will be loading and unloading the ovens for student safety. Please bring an apron or a bigger shirt for messy activities and a water bottle! Instructor: Sheila Syvrud *Cell phones will be kept in a basket accessible to the owner for phone calls or state of emergency but will be asked to be kept away during class time*

Good Science Makes Great Food! (Ages 10-14)

Young food scientists, let's do experiments, make yummy food, and eat it too! We will answer questions like: How does carbonation get into fizzy beverages? Then we will gather data and information and analyze it.  We will be following a step by step process to make sure we don't miss anything and then once we're finished with all of the steps, the project becomes a snack! Easing Into Eastside!

This summer program focuses on providing support and orientation to enrolled incoming 4th Grade Students attending Eastside Elementary in the fall of the 2024-2025 school year. Certified Eastside staff will teach students skills to hep them face new opportunities and challenges as they transition to their new school. Fun and engaging activities will be held in a small group settings. A snack will be provided during the day as well. If you love relays and fun games, this is the class for you! We will play games, participate in water relays and also relays on the grass. Meet at the Rock Springs family recreation center behind the spray pool - Sweetwater BOCES will provide some cold treats to help us beat the heat! Please bring sunscreen, a towel, water bottle, an umbrella if wanted and a dry change of clothes.
