  • Astronomy Camp – Session 1

    Get lost in the stars in our SBOCES Astronomy Camp! Students will be learning all about astronomy and what makes it so beautiful! There will be hands on learning with telescopes and great opportunities to look at the sky to see what it's all about!  Students will be staying at the dorms Monday through Thursday and picked up at 10:00 am Friday!

    Grades:  4th grade (completed) -8th grade

    MUST HAVE COMPLETED 4TH GRADE AND POSSESS MATURITY LEVEL  TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS, SLEEP OVERNIGHT IN DORMS, AND BE RESPONSIBLE.

    Wild Wings Adventure Birding Wild Wings Adventure Birding Camp is a four-day experience designed for curious explorers who are ready to discover the amazing world of birds! During three interactive classroom days, campers will participate in games and hands-on creative projects. They will learn how to identify birds by sight, and sound, explore habitats, and uncover fascinating facts about feathers, migration, and behavior. Students will practice using their very own binoculars, field guides, and observation skills just like real bird scientists. The adventure culminates in a one-day field trip, where campers will head to a migratory bird refuge to put their new skills into action—spotting birds in their natural habitats, recording observations, and experiencing the excitement of real-world bird watching. Whether your child is brand new to birdwatching or already loves nature, Wild Wings Adventure Birding offers a fun, engaging way to connect with wildlife, build confidence outdoors, and see the world from a whole new perspective—one bird at a time!       THE STAMPEDE CYCLING JUNE 8th -JUNE 25th (MONDAY -THURSDAY) 9AM-2PM The Stampede is a daily, structured recreational bicycle program designed to provide you teens with a safe, supervised, and highly active environment cycling, connecting, and exploring Rock Springs.  We will participate in daily community activities. You are welcome to bring your own bike and helmet. Helmets are mandatory. BRING A LUNCH AND A WATER BOTTLE   Instructor:  Kaiden Walk age 12-15

Led by an enthusiastic team of middle school Girl Scouts, this unique camp brings creativity, leadership, and imagination together in a vibrant ocean-themed experience. Campers will explore a world of mermaids, sea creatures, and ocean wonders while building friendships and confidence in a supportive, girl-led environment. Each day is packed with exciting activities, including hands-on STEM projects, creative crafts, and engaging outdoor adventures. From designing ocean-inspired creations to exploring the wonders of the natural world, girls will learn, laugh, and grow together.     Pirate Camp Set sail for adventure on the high seas!  This three-day camp invites young explorers to step into the boots of a pirate for a journey filled with creativity and action.  Each day, our "crew" will dive into hands-on crafting and interactive games designed to build imagination and teamwork.  As we navigate the ocean blue, we'll practice the Pirate's Oath, focusing on being a kind crewmate, sharing the loot, and always looking out for our fellow pirates.  Welcome aboard, Matey! In this high-energy session, children will face a variety of wacky, one-minute challenges that test their creativity, coordination, and teamwork. From stacking cups into towering pyramids to balancing cookies on their foreheads, each game is designed to bring out giggles and cheers. Kids will not only have a blast but also develop problem-solving skills, learn the importance of teamwork, and boost their confidence as they tackle these hilarious, timed tasks.   • OUTDOOR GAMES

      OUTDOOR GAMES Students will make, play, and learn some new outdoor summer games. They will make big feet out of cardboard to have a Monster walk. We will make games out of pool noodles, and plastic cups, sponges, etc. Sometimes these games will consist of water and getting wet, so if you want to have a fun summer with a little water come and join us! Relay races, water games, team games are all fun when you play outside and enjoy the sun. We will make a fun snack that goes along with the theme. Please bring a water bottle and sunscreen.   Instructor:  Nanette McCurdy K-2
